Tridents

A plugin that enhances tridents with quality-of-life improvements and features inspired by Bedrock Edition. Makes tridents more reliable and useful without changing their core mechanics, addressing common frustrations players experience with these rare weapons.

Void Saving

Tridents enchanted with Loyalty will now return to you even when thrown into the void. No more losing your valuable trident by accidentally throwing it off the edge of the world or into the End void. The Loyalty enchantment truly becomes loyal, always finding its way back regardless of where it lands. This protection only applies to tridents with the Loyalty enchantment, encouraging players to enchant their tridents properly.

Bedrock Drop Rates

Tridents drop more frequently from Drowned mobs, matching the drop rates from Minecraft Bedrock Edition. This makes tridents more obtainable without making them too common. The increased drop rate reduces the grinding required to obtain your first trident or to collect spares. Drop rates are still affected by Looting enchantments for even better chances.

Enhanced Impaling

The Impaling enchantment now works like it does in Bedrock Edition, dealing extra damage to all mobs touching water or rain. This includes land mobs standing in water, making the enchantment useful beyond just ocean monuments. Players fighting in the rain or near water gain a significant combat advantage with an Impaling trident. The enchantment becomes a strategic choice for certain biomes and weather conditions rather than a niche ocean-only enhancement.

Offhand Return

When you throw a trident from your offhand, it returns to your offhand instead of your main hand. This allows for better dual-wielding strategies and maintains your equipment arrangement. Particularly useful when using a sword or bow in your main hand while keeping a trident ready in the offhand. The feature works with both Loyalty-enchanted tridents and regular retrieval.

Portal Protection

Tridents with Loyalty enchantment will no longer enter portals, preventing them from being lost in other dimensions. When a Loyalty trident hits a portal, it bounces back instead of teleporting through. This stops the common problem of throwing a trident that enters a portal and gets stuck in another dimension. Your trident stays in the dimension where you threw it, ensuring Loyalty always brings it back to you.
