What Lumina does

Machina Lumina runs the search work on a business's own website. Every month it checks the site and hands the owner a list of what to fix, and every week it tracks where the site's pages are showing up in Google. It writes articles and publishes them once the owner has approved them, and it reports what changed at the end of every month, in plain English. It is built for the owner of a small business who needs this work done properly and would rather not spend the week doing it.

What Lumina connects to, and what it reads

You connect each of these yourself, one at a time, and you can disconnect any of them whenever you want without affecting the others.

Lumina uses this connection to publish the articles you approve and to make the fixes you approve, so nothing goes live on your site unless you have said yes to it.

Google Search Console, read only

Lumina reads the searches your pages show up for, the position they show up in, how often people see them, and how often people click.

Google Analytics, read only

Lumina reads how many visits search is bringing to your site.

Lumina never changes anything inside Google. It reads, and that is all, and it asks for nothing else from your Google account.

How your data is used

What Lumina reads from Google goes to two places: the account you log into, and the reports we email you. We use it to run the product you signed up for, and for nothing else.

We do not sell it, and we do not pass it to advertisers or to data brokers. We do not use it for advertising, ours or anyone else's, and we do not use it to train anything. When you disconnect a service, we delete what we stored for it.

Machina Lumina's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How to disconnect

There are two ways to do it, and either one takes effect immediately.

• You can open the Connections screen in your Lumina account and disconnect the service you want to stop.
• You can also open your Google account's third-party access page and remove Machina Lumina from there.
